Dell stands out as one of the few companies offering budget curved gaming monitors with impressive specifications like QHD resolution, 165Hz refresh rate and impressive contrast ratio thanks to the VA panel.

Performance wise, its performance is comparable to other curved gaming monitors like MSI MAG274QRF-QD. Both feature a 165Hz refresh rate and great contrast ratio; FreeSync support; however, this model is significantly cheaper with lower input lag and cost per screen.

The Dell S2422HG monitor is an ideal choice for gamers due to its wider viewing angles and more uniform gray uniformity, faster response time, better reflection handling, and optional backlight strobing feature. While its color accuracy was initially disappointing before calibration due to oversaturating most colors before calibration was applied; after calibrating though its gamma was closer to sRGB target curve and it boasts excellent black depth depth as well as being one of the only budget curved gaming monitors with an extended color gamut.
